1:1 mentoring (in-person and online)
We can work with your child/young person helping them understand and embrace their neurodivergent (autistic/ADHD) identity. We use a positive, strengths-based approach so they develop:
confidence in themself as a unique individual.
a greater awareness of their own sensory and environmental preferences, triggers, responses and regulators.
curiosity about the differences between neurodivergent and neurotypical social communication preferences and/or sensory processing.
a deeper understanding of their own strengths and challenges, and support to work on areas they would like to focus on, including education/work guidance for those over 15 years.
Mentoring sessions can be online, at the TDC garden office in Portslade, or we can travel to you for an additional travel fee, which will be calculated using your home location.
A standard session is 50 minutes, plus preparation time and notes sent after session detailing what was covered/achieved.
Self-funding family price: £100 per session (plus travel fee if applicable).
One-off onboarding fee (phone call and reading of documentation and preparation): £95
Optionally, we offer parents and carers a catch-up call to discuss mentoring progress every six weeks:
30 minutes call: £30
60 minute call: £60
Our expertise centres on children and young people who are autistic and/or ADHD or feel these identities may fit them. Our approach is needs-led, not diagnosis-dependent.
“Sadie’s mentoring is really helping my daughter understand herself better and build her confidence. We’ve seen such positive progress thanks to Sadie’s guidance. Would 100% recommend.”
Supported Work Experience & Life Skills Programme (ages 16-19)
Our Supported Work Experience & Life Skills Programme provides a gentle, flexible bridge between support and future work opportunities, helping neurodivergent young people explore their work-related strengths and skills in a safe and supportive way.
Designed for autistic and/or ADHD young people aged 16–19, this flexible 12-week programme offers a neuroaffirming alternative to traditional work experience. Participants receive weekly one-to-one mentoring, practical activities, confidence-building opportunities and employability support without attendance targets, productivity expectations or pressure to complete tasks.
Young people can access support online or at our Portslade, Brighton office and engage with optional activities at a pace that feels right for them. The programme focuses on developing confidence, independence, self-understanding, awareness of communication preferences, and readiness for future education, training or employment opportunities.

“TDC’s wonderful Work Experience support gave Sophia the motivation and self-belief to take new steps independently. She secured a job after her first trial shift. It’s made a genuine difference to her confidence and independence”
Neurodivergent social group
This is a regular small group session (max four) held at our Portslade garden office, fully supported by a TDC mentor. We align the child/young person’s interests and social communication preferences so they can experience meaningful social connections, and better understand themselves within the context of neurodivergence. They will also gain practical support and advice from the group facilitator, including the development of self advocacy skills, and increasing their feelings of self-worth, self confidence and self-esteem. We use games, videos and resources linked to the groups’ interests, to engage in practical activities that then spark conversations, and may also lead to friendships.
Our onboarding process alows us to consider the best approach for the group and to help us match with peers interested in similar topics.
Self-funding family price: £39 per session.
One-off onboarding fee (phone call and reading of one document): £60
